Behavioral Health

Psychologists, Counselors, and Behavior Analysts at Oakwood Specialty Clinic provide several services for individuals with IDD.

Intellectual and adaptive functioning evaluations are offered as well as mental health counseling, behavioral therapy, and coping skills training. Based on those assessments, a range of interventions are developed ranging from support plans which provide the individual’s basic needs to extensive and detailed positive behavior support plans designed to teach replacement behaviors and bypass challenging behaviors. As members of the interdisciplinary teams at Oakwood, behavioral health professionals collaborate to develop treatment plans to prepare individuals with IDD to live successfully in a less restrictive environment in the community.
